Alabran's People/Hok'tar (Human)
Version: 1.0

Alabran's People are humans from the world P3X-367. There is no real or local name mentioned. These people were genetically altered by a DNA resequencer. These alterations caused varying degrees of physical deformity. Alabran's People also gained psychic abilities after the genetic modifications.

The purpose of the DNA modifications was to produce hok'tar which means 'advanced human'. These people were transplanted from Earth many thousands of years ago. For all purposes, the statistics provided here are for inhabitants of P3X-367 who have already undergone a typical DNA alteration. All others should be considered 'normal' humans with standard 3D6 attributes across the board.

Planet of Origin: P3X-367

Appearances: Metamorphosis
Alignment: Any
Alignment: Any
Attributes: I.Q. 3D6, M.E. 3D6+2, M.A. 3D6, P.S. 3D6+2, P.P. 3D6, P.E. 3D6+2, P.B. 2D6+2, Spd. 3D6
Average Height: 4ft to 6ft
Weight: 150 lbs.
Hit Points: P.E. plus 1D6 per level of experience.
S.D.C./M.D.C.: 20 S.D.C.
Horror Factor: None, they look perfectly human.
Racial Base P.P.E.: P.E. plus 1D6 per level of experience. See natural abilities for more details.
Average Life Span: 50 years
Natural Abilities: Anyone who is subjected to the DNA resequencer has a 75% chance of developing minor psychic abilities. There is a 6% chance of developing major psychic abilities. If psychic abilities are present then their I.S.P. base will increase to 3D6+P.E. plus 2D4 per level of experience.

Vulnerabilities/Penalties: The DNA resequencing causes major physical deformity. This is reflected by a reduced P.B. attribute.

Bonuses: They are highly resistant to disease. These are survivors of a plague.

O.C.C.s: Can take on any occupation where training is available. Psychics may take on Psychic O.C.C.s

Alliances and Allies: None

Notes on the Race: These people survived a major plague. Although not all of the survivors where placed in the DNA altering device, for all RPG purposes these stats represent those that where. If you wish to play an unaltered member of this society then simply roll up a 'normal' human.

DNA Resequencer: This device is believed to be a product of the Ancients. This device will alter the genetic code of its target in real-time. The effects of this device are immediately visible.

Effects of the DNA Resequencer:

The DNA Resequencer is designed to create super humans. This means it is supposed to turn a human into a stronger, faster and maybe even smarter creature. Any human placed into this machine can be modified, but there are side effects.

Note: These statistics are intended for use on 'normal' humans. The inhabitants of P3X-367 have already been altered. These statistics are for RPG purposes and are not part of the storyline.

Typical Genetic Modification: This modification causes physical deformities all over the body. This includes loss of hair and the reshaping of facial features. These deformities are superficial only and in no way impair the physical nature of the being.

Attribute Modifications: P.B. is reduced to 2D6+2, you can add +2 to any three attributes (except P.B.)

Advanced Genetic Modification: This modification not only increases the physical attributes, it also alters the mental abilities of the being. This modification provides the same attribute modifications as the typical method described above as well as some mental modifications.

Mental Modifications: The character's base I.S.P. is 3D6+P.E. and they gain an additional 2D4 per level of experience. They will gain psychic powers. There is a 92% chance for Minor Psychic abilities and a 8% chance for Major Psychic abilities.

Playing God: There is the possibility someone could be placed in the resequencer and experimented on. This is extremely dangerous and can have many different side effects.

Altering Physical Attributes(P.S., P.E., P.P., Spd.): The alteration of a human's physical attributes can cause some permanent damage. Subtract 2 points from the character's P.B. for every one point added to a physical attribute. The effects are instantaneous.

Altering Physical Attributes (I.Q., M.E., M.A.): You can alter a character's mental attributes. However, there are dangers of insanity and permanent mental disability. For every point added to any attribute, there is an accumulative 15% chance of permanent insanity.

Enhancing Psychic Abilities: You can 'awaken' dormant psychic abilities in humans with this device on the DNA level. In order to increase the character's chance for psychic abilities, you must expend one point from a mental attribute for every 20% chance for Minor Psychic abilities or every 2% chance for Major Psychic abilities. This is an accumulative effect. You can attempt to restore the attributes with further manipulation.

Other Side Effects: Every time a person is modified there is a chance of death. Each time a person is 'stuck' in the device for alteration there is an accumulative 15% chance of death. This accumulates throughout the entire lifespan of the character.

Limitations: This device only works on humans or aliens that are very similar to humans. Humans that are hosts to Goa'uld symbiotes can be modified. If the host body is killed then a new host must be found for the Goa'uld. If insanity occurs, the symbiote may also be effected with insanity. Effects are not reversible.
