Season Five

5.01  Enemies

After losing Teal'c to Apophis, SG-1 and Jacob prepare to battle against their foe on board Cronus' ship.  A mysterious alien ship appears which allows them to escape only slightly damaged.  A late encounter with the enemy ship shows no signs of life on board, save for an army of Replicator bugs and an auto-destruct sequence.
5.02  Threshold
Teal'c has been saved from death on Apophis' ship but mentally remains loyal to his old master.  Bra'tac suggests an ancient Jaffa ritual called M'al Sharran - a spiritual journey through the whole of his life which could pull Teal'c back from the brink but which could also kill him.  Teal'c would choose to die free but can SG-1 let him go?
5.03  Ascension
While investigating an alien device in a devastated city, Sam Carter is found unconscious.  Resting from suspected exhaustion, she is visited by an invisible alien being of great power who holds vital secrets about the device and more.   But how can Carter convince her colleagues on SG-1 that she is not delusional and her alien is real?
5.04  The Fifth Man
Jack O'Neill stays behind on an alien world to tend to the wounded Lt. Tyler, the latest member of SG-1.  Back on Earth, Hammond informs the team that Tyler doesn't exist.  Col. Simmons of the NID wants to use this latest example of alien mind games to close down the SGC permanently as a security risk.  But what of Jack?  And Tyler...
5.05  Red Sky
SG-1 are welcomed on K'Tau by the planet's religious leader who takes the reddening of the sky concurrent with their arrival as a sign from their gods.  In reality, it is a solar reaction caused by SG-1's incoming wormhole which spells doom for the entire planet.  Jack argues in vain to convince the faithful K'Tau that their gods are Asgard aliens.
5.06  Rite of Passage
As teenage Cassandra, sole survivor of Goa'uld Nirrti's attack on Hanka, and Dr. Janet Fraiser's adopted daughter, celebrates her 16th birthday, an intense electromagnetic field is triggered within her.  SG-1 and Fraiser fear that they may not be able to stop the life-threatening changes caused by the legacy of Nirrti's genetic experiments.
5.07  Beast of Burden
Daniel Jackson's Unas friend Chaka is captured by the ruthless Burrock from a pre-industrial civilization which uses Unas as slaves.  While attempting to free Chaka from this cruel regime, Daniel risks not only his and Jack's safety, but the stability of an age-old system.  Daniel learns the most difficult lesson when for once, he can't find the right way.
5.08  The Tomb
On a rescue mission to recover Russian soldiers missing-in-action on a previously undisclosed trip, SG-1 are trapped along with a Russian team in a Goa'uld ziggurat.  Here they dicover not only the eviscerated remains of the missing Russians, but a killer alien from which they must escape.  Can Daniel Jackson discover a way out before it's too late?
5.09  Between Two Fires
SG-1 return to Tollana to discover the Tollans have reversed their policy on sharing technology are now willing to trade advanced weaponry with Earth.  Carter's friend and admirer Narim warns that this spells great danger for Earth and the team must return to Tollana to discover the real agenda behind this too-good-to-be-true deal.
5.10  2001
SG-1 discovers an exciting opportunity to form an alliance with a highly advanced race who are willing to share their life-extending technology for Stargate addresses. They are the Aschen.  While Jack, Carter and Senator Joe Faxon negotiate a treaty, Daniel and Teal'c investigate an abandoned underground city and find the Aschen are not what they seem.
5.11  Desperate Measures
A Russian vehicle and its cargo - a Jaffa - is taken. Meanwhile, Carter is abducted. While investigating, Jack is contacted by Harry Maybourne, in whom SG-1 are forced once again to trust in order to find Carter. The trail leads them to an abandoned hospital, used to conduct deadly medical experiments by a reclusive billionaire.
5.12  Wormhole X-Treme
A space ship headed for Earth is linked to the pod found by the alien Marty. SG-1 discovers that he's become a Consultant on a cheesy sci-fi series called 'Wormhole X-Treme' featuring caricatures of the SG-1 team members and a plot line uncannily like the Stargate program. Yet Marty has no memory of them or the real SGC.
5.13  Proving Ground
Colonel Jack O'Neill is putting some new Air Force recruits through their paces.  But one nervous lieutenant's would-be SG team is suddenly involved in an exercise which would be the making of them - especially as O'Neill has just been injured in a dramatic shoot-out.  Can the cadets save the SGC from a seeming foothold situation?
5.14  48 Hours
An exploding craft demolishes the gate just as Teal'c jumps through and his vital energy signature may have been erased.  The team face a race against time to save him.  Daniel negotiates with the Russians while Jack tangles  with Maybourne and Sam Carter may just have met her match in brash, brilliant scientist Dr. Rodney McKay.
5.15  Summit
A plan is being mooted which could take out the entire Goa'uld leadership and end their threat forever.  A truce has been declared and the Goa'uld System Lords are meeting on neutral territory in a space station with impenetrable defenses.  A human is required who can speak fluent Goa'uld and it is Daniel Jackson who now faces a crucial mission.
5.16  Last Stand
SG-1 personnel are facing a critical situation.  Embattled and under siege, Carter, Jack and Teal'c are trapped underground in the Tok'ra base. Meanwhile, Daniel Jackson's mission is complicated by the unexpected arrival of Osiris.  Daniel soon discovers that the Goa'uld balance of power is threatened by the reappearance of the feared and hated Anubis.
5.17  Failsafe
As an asteroid hurtles towards Earth, SG-1 repair an abandoned Goa'uld ship to use as a launch pad for a naquadah bomb which should explode the rock before impact.  But the SGC loses the ship's signal and fears that SG-1 have crashed onto the asteroid, leaving them dead and the Earth facing imminent destruction.
5.18  The Warrior
A formidable warrior now leads the Jaffa rebellion. Once First Prime to the late Goa'uld Imhotep, Kytano  already he has hundreds of followers. SG-1 visits Kytano's stronghold with the aim of securing an alliance.  As Teal'c and Bra'tac are swayed by Kytano's charisma, Jack soon learns that the strategic partnership will come at a heavy price.
5.19  Menace
A dormant female android discovered on a barren planet is transported back to Earth for study.  On reactivation, Reese demonstrates a childlike curiosity about her environment, strange transformative powers and an affection for Daniel.  However, Daniel and SG-1 soon discover this seemingly innocent being may hold a menacing secret.
5.20  The Sentinel
Jack O'Neill mist enlist the aid of a couple of convicted felons in a bid to save a planet from the Goa'uld.  With an attack looming and the planet's automated defense systems seemingly off-line, an entire world's salvation will rest in the hands of SG-1 and two former NID operatives who got them all into this situation in the first place.
5.21  Meridian
Daniel Jackson returns from an off-world diplomatic mission stricken with fatal radiation poisoning and accused of sabotage by the host government.  As Jack struggles to learn the truth of what really happened to his friend back on the planet and to clear his name, Daniel is visited by Oma Desala, who offers him the opportunity to ascend.
5.22  Revelations
In their first mission after the death of their friend Daniel Jackson, a grieving SG-1 must mount a rescue mission on an inhospitable planet to save Heimdall, an Asgard scientist, an secure an underground laboratory before they fall into the hands of Anubis.  But complications arise in the form of a shocking revelation concerning the Asgard.
