The way someone is transformed into a vampire is quite different from Palladium's vampires. Palladium's system uses the slow kill, a process where the vampire slowly transforms a mortal into a supernatural monster. Just like my vampires are quite different from Palladium's, so to is the means by which one is created. For a person to undergo the becoming, the vampire must drink most of the victim's blood, then open a wound on himself and allow the victim to drink from him. This means the vampire must drink at least 80% of
the victim's SDC/HP (vampires can instinctively tell how much SCD/ HP a victim
has when drinking). He then cuts himself (usually on the wrist or neck) and
allows the victim to drink. The vampire is vulnerable at this time. As the
victim drinks, the vampire starts to feel weak while the victim feels his
strength doubling and re doubling. The vampire must allow the victim to drink
20% of his SDC/HP. After that, the vampire must make a save at 14 or better.
If the vampire fails the roll, he looses another 10 points of SDC/HP. Each
failed attempt gives the vampire +1 to his next roll to save. If the save
succeeds, the vampire manages to pull free from the victim. When created, the vampire gains the following:
Control When to make the submission check: Any time the master wishes to force the offspring to do something he would not normally do, such as kill a loved one or leave his old life entirely. If being forced to leave his old life entirely, the offspring can make a save once a week for 6 weeks. If every save fails, he has become totally loyal to the master and never again gets to make the save. To break the control: *Transformation of mages and psychics*:
When a mage or psionisist (anyone with minor or major latent abilities or any
full blown psionic OCCs) undergoes the becoming, they MUST purchase the
special ability that corresponds to there magical/ psionic powers.
