Art of Ki Manipulation

This is a powerful martial art that teaches not only how to fight in physical combat, but also how to manipulate energy in order to perform devastating long range attacks. This martial art, taken to extreme levels, gives the wielder the power to inflict massive damage and even destroy whole planets.

The Art of Ki Manipulation stresses both physical combat, such as punches, kicks, and holds, with mental discipline and the release of Ki energy attacks. The physical combat techniques practiced in this martial art are fairly basic and are not as powerful or complex as many other martial art forms, but the mental techniques can take many years before even the basics are mastered. Many martial artists that take this form also take a secondary form in order to increase their physical combat abilities.

This form of combat is available to any race that possesses psionic powers. This includes Humans, Saiyans, and many other races throughout the megaverse.

Entrance Requirements

    Must be capable of having psionic powers, but they are not required to possess any personally. So races that possess no potential for psychic powers cannot study this form. Also, all applicants must have at least a PE of 15 and an ME of 12.

  • Add +1D4x10 to S.D.C.
  • Add +2D4x10 to I.S.P.
  • +15 to I.S.P. per level experience, staring at level two
  • Considered a Master Psychic

Combat Skills

  • Attacks per Melee: 2
  • Escape Moves: Roll with Punch/Fall/Impact, Maintain Balance, and Back Flip.
  • Basic Defensive Moves: Parry, Dodge, and Automatic Parry.
  • Advanced Defense Moves: Disarm
  • Hand Strikes: Punch, Power Punch, Knife Hand, and Palm Strike.
  • Basic Foot Strikes: Kick Attack and Thrust Kick.
  • Special Attacks: Elbow, Knee, Head Butt, Critical Strike on a natural 20, Knockout on a natural 20, Critical Strike from behind, Pull Punch, Leap Attack, Grab, Entangle, Body Flip/Throw, and Body Block/Tackle.
  • Holds / Locks: Elbow Lock, Arm Lock, and Neck Hold.

Skills Included in Training

  • Martial Art Powers: Only Ki Manipulation Abilities can be learned. At first level the martial artist can choose 4 Ki techniques from any category except special energy attacks and legendary Ki techniques. Every level of experience starting at level 2, the martial artist gains two additional techniques that can be used to improve an existing techniques, if possible, or to learn a new ones. New techniques can be from any category except legendary Ki techniques. Legendary Ki techniques can only be chosen after the martial artist has reached fifth level and it must be learnt from another martial artist that already possesses that technique.

    Level: Bonuses:
    1 +2 roll with Punch/Fall/Impact and +1 dodge.
    2 +1 parry and +1 Maintain Balance.
    3 +1 attack per melee and +2 to strike.
    4 +2 damage and +1 initiative.
    5 +1 parry and Death Blow on a natural 20.
    6 +2 roll with Punch/Fall/Impact and pick two additional Ki Manipulation Techniques.
    7 +1 attack per melee and +1 strike.
    8 Critical Strike on a natural 18, 19, or 20.
    9 +2 dodge and +1 parry.
    10 +1 initiative, +1 damage, and Knockout/Stun on a natural 19 or 20.
    11 +1 attack per melee and +1 roll with Punch/Fall/Impact.
    12 +2 to strike and +1 Maintain Balance, and pick two additional Ki Manipulation Techniques.
    13 +1 initiative and +2 damage.
    14 +1 attack per melee, +2 parry, and +1 to dodge.
    15 +1 strike, +1 dodge, and Death Blow on a natural 19 or 20.
